It has been years since I’ve gone to the movie theater, but this particular film wasn’t available on streaming, so I reworked my day and took the trip to watch the one (of TWO whole show dates/times) to catch the flick “Come Out, In Jesus’ Name.”

How did I even hear about this movie? When I write, research, or paint, I have YouTube on the tele for background noise. Most videos are of scripture, music, or spiritual warfare lectures. During a “commercial break” ad, I heard Pastor Greg Locke’s voice. I initially ignored it because, to be frank, even though I enjoyed a few of his sermons, I veered away from watching him when the politics and interviews overshadowed the topic of a relationship with Christ. What made me finally start paying attention to this movie trailer? The fact that Greg said (I hope I quote this correctly), “It was never about Corona; it was never about Trump.” That was it. I watched the trailer and knew I had to see this film about something I take extremely seriously as a faithful Christian: Demons.

I agree wholeheartedly that the insanity we see today is nothing more than good versus evil. If you believe that there is indeed good and evil, then you have to admit that evil likes to confuse, turn upside down, and attack the things of God. Maybe that’s why we see gender confusion? Self-harm. Addiction? Depression? Anxiety? Violence? That’s my opinion!

I liked this movie a lot! I am biased since I already watch people like Isaiah Saldivar, Vlad Savchuk, Alex Pagani, Mike Signorelli, and Dan Adams. What I wasn’t prepared for was Greg Locke’s testimony and transparency. (I always appreciate it when pastors call themselves out!) I also wasn’t ready to GET called out, or as we Christians call it, “convicted”!

Due to the overwhelming request for the film “Come Out In Jesus Name,” the movie will have a third showing, called the “Deliverance Edition,” in select theaters nationwide starting April 30. An encore showing of “Come Out in Jesus Name” was released for two days only earlier this month and soared to No. 5 at the box office to be among the highest-grossing films on its release day. The film features deliverance ministers, some of whom have drawn controversy over the years, received a 97% Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score, and delivered its second-highest per-screen average during its encore.

“Come Out in Jesus’ Name” debuted in theaters in March and follows the deliverance ministry work of Pastors Greg Locke and Alexander Pagani, YouTube preacher Isaiah Saldivar, Pastor Mike Signorelli, Vladimir Savchuck, and Daniel Adams.

Once a self-described cessationist, Locke said he now embraces the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He encourages Christians to embrace their authority in Jesus to free themselves and others of demonic oppression or ownership.

I agree with my whole heart that the insanity we are seeing today is nothing more than good versus evil. If you believe that there is indeed good and evil, then you have to admit that evil likes to confuse, turn upside down, and attack the things of God. Maybe that’s why we see gender confusion? What started as a movie to bring attention to the workings of God has become a legitimate move of God, as the thousands pour salvation stories and deliverance testimonies onto social media. More than 200,000 souls have already seen the film, and folks are pleading for a chance to return with their friends and family,” said Locke in a statement shared with The Christian Post on Monday.

Since moviegoers have shown an interest in the film, Locke said he plans for a third showing later this month. We look forward to our third theatrical release this month, and due to overwhelming requests, this release will also include my 30-minute deliverance prayer session as bonus content,” he continued. “We are truly humbled by the success of this film, and believe this movement is a crucial part of the awakening that the body of Christ has waiting for.”

Locke shot to internet fame in 2016 after he posted a video on Facebook criticizing Target for its policy that allows men who identify as female to enter girls’ and women’s dressing rooms and bathrooms. He later developed very outspoken in favor of former President Donald Cornet. Then he spoke out against ongoing government restrictions on households of worship, which in some states lasted for more than a year.
